Getting to work with The Williams was one of the big highlights of my year and my career so far. They’re not only extremely talented and visionary filmmakers but also some of the most passionate and caring human beings I’ve had the pleasure and honor to meet. Although our collaboration was relatively brief, I can’t thank them enough for bringing me on as an assistant editor of one of their ambitious projects.
Forever grateful for having the opportunity to cross paths with people like McCray and Will, for sharing sober thoughts and a few dizzy ideas, and thankful that life finds the way to slap my face with constant “you’re on the right track, don’t get distracted papito.”

siempre pasa algo en enero.
la mayoría de las veces hay sucesos que parecen banales y terminan alterando el orden del todo.
otras veces solo son momentos fugaces que al final del mes, cuando el sol ya empieza a tardar más en esconderse, son recordados con cariño.
sea bueno, sea agridulce, sea un error que sucedió porque todavía no aprendo la lección o una enseñanza que esperemos se quede bien grabada… algo siempre pasa en enero.
y a pesar de que este mes los puntos en lista de eventos históricos o sin precedentes parecen demasiados para ser mencionados, en esta ocasión decido quedarme con todo lo bueno que me rodeó.
una vuelta más al sol, otra raya más al tigre; que la vida me de oportunidad de más, de seguir viviendo, conociendo, aprendiendo, compartiendo.

lo hermoso y temible del tiempo es que es lo único medianamente cuantificable que se percibe de manera lineal y a la vez es inexistente, mientras que todo lo demás es un espiral sin control.
ya no habrá ese mayo 30, ni 2 semanas eternas, los 9 años que quizá no eran suficientes, y aunque parece que el 13 no te es de mala suerte entiendo que la penúltima letra viene antes.
el tiempo pasa, la vida sigue, las heridas sanan, los growing pains cambian, y todas las enseñanzas y experiencias se quedan.
el mundo se acaba, pero el río sigue fluyendo, a veces demasiado fuerte, y muchas veces solo es necesario… soltar.
fotos y videos de unos meses turbulentos, llenos de aprendizajes, perspectivas, humo y espejos, flores y música, rosas y cantera, risas y lágrimas.
como siempre, al final no me queda nada más que decir: gracias.

From day one I was super impressed and beyond inspired by @wr3ne ’s vision. After more than a few rounds of coming back and forth plus jumping hurdle after hurdle, it’s great having the true potential of this spot finally out.
This one was filled with emotions and learnings.

some punk new work for @myserenitykids
on this one i played with the music stems to enhance timing and really give the pace a bigger -oomph- along with time remaps, split screens, zooms, and some other sound and visual effects to achieve this cute but punk little piece.
