The art of ignoring spilled blood.
A feeble attempt in finding wisdom in the damage. Damage refusing to be undone.
Spiritual scars. Calluses of the soul.
These lives toiled away in an impatient solitude.
A desire for heaven is its own damnation. Look at us staggering through whimpering fog. Maybe purgatory is waiting for a new eden ready to bloom.
Doubt, confusion, through and through until the silence reveals rather than assures.
Sometimes its hard to believe it was in front of you the whole time.
It was hard to see through the fog of dissociation, personality switching, vestiges of false memories and unshared trances. Frenzy and its condolences were the only tools we had, prying away the world we tried to hang onto. It was easier to run, to abandon the results of these violences rather than sit with uneasy peace.
This unrecognized loneliness served as a false fortress but this burden of isolation serves no faith anymore, this disservice to ourselves.
It is strange returning to a world on fire, stranger still a world ready to return to a terrible apathy, a self-destructice boredom.
Catastrophe addiction, fear worship.
The effort to maintain an illusion of consistent selfhood has been nothing but a heavy chain.
No wonder the vestiges of bad habits are still an intoxication. No wonder its easier to ignore the repercussion around the totality of excess.
But here, at the sharp splintered memories of shattered teeth, rusting bridges, exposed electricity, it isn’t easy to ignore anymore.
Insomiac, deprived, quiet.
When the wind speaks to me and through me, listen. Every prayer forgotten is blowing through the wind, through these trees.
But when the fog comes, forfiet your ears and listen with your skin instead. This humid yawn, a hoarse drone. The steady pulse of phantom industries, these eschewed regrets, and stoic empires crumbling away towards obscurity. (1/2)
Snake Recognize Snake
An exorcism of insecure narcissism, sullen euphoria, and addiction to parasitic admiration. A recognition of obsession and betrayal confused as faith in oneself for another. The bartering with the rationality of self-inflected loss.
Depressed club drums, rattling baroque basslines, blacklight cybernoise and bright autotune pleading into scornful trances. Like a vindictive AI trying to understand meaningful connection. Like Judas being too proud to admit his pain. A peek into the where the winds of desperate lust carries its faults, through alienating soundcanyons and promised futures lost, into a space devoid of soul.
Thank you to all those who supported the sweat and tears of this strange catharsis. Apologies to those who understand, and grace to those who will continue their sacred spiral.
May we free genuine connection from the clutches of capital, and maybe the species will have a chance at something greater.
