I’ve been grinding so deep lately on bringing into the world what I love. And to some extent, it feels like a parts of me are dying in the process of doing this. The parts of me not disciplined or focussed. The parts of me irresponsible and people pleasing. The parts of me boundary-less.
I’m at that place where I’m too young to be an elder, and too old to be a younger. So I’m covering both ends of the bargain. Anyway, it’s as exhausting and delicious as rodeo and on top of that it’s friday.
Next week I’ll be offering a bunch of new things like Wild Man choirs, workshops, sound ceremonies, music and most excitingly, a men’s morning yoga breath work course online.
This is what I love, and so I’ll let it kill me….

Take good care of your friendships.
My friendships are my greatest opportunity to learn about myself.
This friendship is 25 years deep. It hasn’t always been easy. It hasn’t always been comfortable. I’ve had some of the hardest conversations of my life with this human. I’ve been disappointed. Let down. Disillusioned at times… and I know he has too. I know because he told me, because we bother to tell each other. “Hey… that felt shit”… “hey this feels off….” Etc and so much more… and we tell each other, because we have built trust in each other’s listening and holding.
We also do a lot of “this is so great!” “Thank you so much for doing that.” “I’m sorry I was careless…”. “Hey I wasn’t really listening before and you were trying to reach me…” “hey that joke was actually really funny!” “THIS IS SO FUN!”
And in the balance of the effort and the reward lives the deep well of joy and connection. Captured here… yesterday at our final gig of this tour for our album PROMISES.
Look at our faces!!!! Soooo cuuuute!
The fruit of tomorrow lives in the actions of today.

It never gets old, selling out a show is no small feat for an entirely independent musical act from two people in their midlife: sharing stories, banging tunes, and hilarious bullshittery.
