I got my first camera in 2007.
Since then,
I have shot day and night,
during thunderstorms,
snowstorms and sandstorms,
on cars, bikes, boards,
shot on mountaintops, underwater,
in my home, across the globe,
in studios, in the streets,
I’ve shot bored and shot focused,
shot for me and shot for others.
I’ve been shooting nonstop.
A home for all this work was long overdue.

It’s been 410 days since this photo was shot. I'm gonna use it to wrap this Japan photo project here, at least in digital form. It had to exist online both as a body of work but also as a reminder that life happens, good and bad, and sometimes it’s ok if a project takes 13 months to be published.
This is my favorite photo of myself. Shot 2am on a random Monday, in 7-eleven Imabashi in Osaka, wearing a 73rd NBA All-Star game shirt bought in Indianapolis a couple months before while filming for them.
I used to say “life crazy” and in my case, I owe it all to photography. For letting me do my thing, taking me to the wildest places and helping my horrible memory be a little better.
