Broadway star @ariellejacobs (Aladdin, Wicked, Here Lies Love) sings "Stay" from our musical comedy THE NOTEWORTHY LIFE OF HOWARD BARNES.
We ended up having to cut this song from the show, which is one of the hardest thing to do as a musical theatre writer. But, ultimately, it was for the best, and fortunately the song lives on.

Welcome to the Collab Lab: Songwriter Shark Tank, where you will get to collaborate with fellow high school students participating in the Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge! In small teams, students will be given a prompt to come up with a short pitch for a new musical. Students will come up with the title, genre and synopsis for the show, and then write a short song to include in their pitch. Students will present their pitch to the other teams who will act as the “Sharks” or Producers, offering feedback on each pitch. Guided by professional musical theatre writers Chris Dimond, Michael Kooman & Chris Nee (*FINN,* Fest ’25), students will work together to collaborate, experiment and play in this fun, low-stakes environment.
