Can’t believe it took us this long to cover our favourite song ever but here is you’ve got a friend with @sellafiimusic

Last week I had the chance to chat with Dean Jackson on BBC introducing East Midlands about the new album! Huge thanks to Dean for having me on and giving Lollipop Jane so much love on the radio!
Link is in my bio if you’d like to check out the whole conversation
Also just want to say it’s been so so lovely receiving all your messages about the album! I make music for myself really so it’s always a genuinely amazing thing to hear when it’s connected with other people, it really means a lot! ❤️

My album How I Felt has been out a week! what’s your fave track? I’m currently trying to track down the real lollipop lady that inspired this song, but in the mean time here’s a quick bash through lollipop Jane 🍭

My album ‘How I Felt’ is out now!
My goal with this project was to write songs that were an honest reflection of the way I felt, and lyrics that I really believed in. As a result, I feel really connected to these 8 songs - I love each of them dearly in their own way and I’m so happy that they can finally see the light of day!
There’s some very talented and kind humans that I want to thank:
Firstly, my partner Sofia who has had to listen to approximately 62838473 revisions of these songs, but has a seemingly endless capacity to help and be a voice of reason
@harrytharry for his incredible work and generosity with both the ‘Living on the edge (of town)’ music video, and the album cover photoshoot 📷
@mattseddon_ for crushing on Trombone on ‘Living on the edge (of town)’
@bass_rabbitt for laying down such tasteful and melodic bass on ‘Through your eyes’
@lismore_mastering for mastering
@jakeshermanwooo for keeping it real and helping me make the production serve the song
Ok now go listen to it!! And if it connects with you, drop me a message I’d love to hear from you! Lots of love 🫶
Did a little cover of one of my favourite songs - When The Morning Comes by Daryl Hall and John Oates
I love the sound of this record so I wanted to try and record it as close as possible to the original to investigate the secret sauce. It’s Bernard Purdie on the original and his drums sound HUGE and so groovy, so I started there, trying to match the tone and tuning of the kit as well as the reverb. Then I worked my way up from bass up to guitar, synth and vox. There’s a mandolin on the original which I don’t own, but managed to get some of the way there by pitching the guitar up an octave, double tracking and detuning each track slightly.
The main thing I learnt is they’re really digging in to the instruments on the original, which is why it has so much energy I think!
Anyway I had a lot of fun making this and learnt a lot - hope you enjoy! 🤓

One of my favourite sections of the video - the paper aeroplane! A special thanks to @rosieebowerss for her beautiful animation work on this! So fun and always makes me smile.
I also want to give an extra thanks to @ed_swift_ for his expertise behind the camera, @hugoesposti for his locational wisdom, and once again @harrytharry for directing and putting it all together. Swipe for some BTS from the shoot, including filming on the steepest street in England on a baking hot August afternoon 🥵
Thank you everyone for listening to living on the edge (of town) so far and sending such warm comments, it really means a lot!
Alright here it is! Living on the edge (of town) is out now! 🕺 A huge thank you to @harrytharry for directing this amazing video, shot on a 16mm wind up film camera that can only shoot 30s at a time (a Krasnogorsk 3 for all you film nerds)
We went to Bristol last summer to film it and the original plan was to shoot a video for a song I’d already released, but I finished this song the day before and Harry agreed to completely change plan at no notice and shoot a video for this instead. I think we pulled it off! 😬
I wrote the song while living in a bit of a grotty house share in London - holes in the floor, mould, all the usual suspects 👌 (Shoutout to my lovely housemates though who made it bearable!).
I’m gonna be releasing much more music this year but for now I really hope you enjoy this one, and here’s all the lovely people involved in making it happen:
