My homemade negative digitizing setup works surprisingly well. I photograph each frame using my workhorse Nikon D850 with my Sigma 105mm macro lens attached. It might seem counterintuitive to digitally photograph an analog negative, but it’s far more affordable than professional scanning and the results are just as good.
