A very classic crinkly cut turnip in a garlicky, peppery, corriandery, ACV brine w a bit of beet for that DILLI hue!

sooo yall always ask how I come up with my flavors each month… and to be honest with ya it typically includes some combination of the following:
1. me eating pickles straight outta the fridge at 6 am because I woke up from a stress dream about my pickled sugar snaps turning out soggy
2. frantically typing into my “pickle idea” notes app mid-run bc I thought of a new shape to cut vegetables into
3. forcing my dining buddies to try every single pickle plate in the nyc area
4. saving every jar of leftover brine to make pickly cocktails for friends when they come over (for research purposes only ;)
5. opening my mini pickle fridge - that was indeed paid for in pickles - to stuff yet another test jar
6. multiple farmers market strolls a week to see what’s in season and badgering my farmer friends to see if I can buy 60 lbs of whatever it is and convincing them that “no, I really can carry it all on the subway I promise”
7. religiously reading my flavor bible and just trying to get smidgeee more creative every day
a chaotic little system but it works :) happy monday 💛

chop some teeny tiny fennel, celery, DILLI pickled red onion, purple daikon and mix it up w some mustard olive oil and whatever else ya like. Top with dill and dilli as per usual :)
