As the release date draws closer, attention turns to @dillect__ and his upcoming EP Deluge [ARRX016]. Hailing from Arnhem, Dillect is a DJ and producer with a deep-rooted passion for techno. Influenced by the 00’s and 10’s era and today’s resurgence of old-school sounds, his music blends detailed sound design with club-focused functionality, built to move bodies while remaining effective in the mix. Returning to Algumritmo Records following his collaboration Muck with @vivace_dj on the label’s previous VA, Dillect now steps forward with a full EP that further defines his direction. Deluge EP explores different shades of techno across five tracks, balancing hypnotic depth with groove-driven energy while maintaining a clear and cohesive flow. Full release on Friday, March 27. To him, techno holds the same place in music that abstract art has in painting. According to Dillect, techno presents the idea of groove in its most abstract form. Four-on-the-floor kickdrums then tie together this vast realm of possibilities, creating the structure for infinite self-expression to whoever embraces it. He tries to convey this philosophy into his own productions. His club-centric music revolves around unique sound design with elements that all try to get you to move your body.
