POV: You get to call Zimbabwe home..
Home isn’t perfect. But it’s real.
It’s the warmth in people who keep believing, even when the world stops looking.
It’s sunsets and stories. It’s faces and faith.
Home is Zimbabwe for me, the land and the hearts that make it unforgettable.

Forbes just said something massive about Zimbabwe…
But we’ve known it all along.
While everyone chases Paris lights and Bali beaches, Forbes looked south, past the clichés, and found a place that’s been quietly redefining beauty, adventure, and soul.
They named Zimbabwe the world’s best country to visit in 2025.
But if you’ve stood at the edge of Victoria Falls and felt the thunder in your chest, drifted across Lake Kariba at sunset, or watched elephants move through golden dust in Hwange… you already get it.
This isn’t hype. It’s truth finally catching up.
Zimbabwe isn’t just a destination, it changes how you see the world. We’re just getting started.

POV: You choose ZIMBABWE as your next holiday destination.
If you’re Zimbabwean and you’re choosing to go on holiday outside of Zimbabwe I’d highly recommend exploring your home country first!
If you’re not Zimbabwean and you’re thinking of coming to an African country, I’d also highly recommend exploring Zimbabwe! You won’t regret it!

What I didn’t realise about Zimbabwe..
Is that it is this beautiful!
Growing up, I didn’t get the opportunity to travel and see much of Zimbabwe, it was only after school that I had the opportunities with work and started exploring Zimbabwe.
I very soon realised how beautiful and diverse it really is!

Great Zimbabwe Ruins!
Do know where Zimbabwe got its name from? It actually derived from the Shona, dzimba dzemabwe, meaning house of stone or stone buildings.
The Great Zimbabwe was a Medieval City located in the South East of our country. At its largest the City of Great Zimbabwe housed an estimated 18 000 people and the stone walled parts of it covered about 78 hectares of land. This makes it by far the largest, of Zimbabwe’s early stone walled Cities.
Have you ever been to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins?

This is Nyanga!
At first, it doesn’t seem like Nyanga offers much, but once you start exploring you soon realise how much there really is to do! There really is something for everyone..Here’s a list of things you can do in Nyanga:
- Hiking - There are countless hiking trails and opportunities for adventure, some short ones and some that’ll last days if you’re up for it, like Mount Nyangani.
- Fishing - there are many rivers and dams stocked up with Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout, but remember only specific fly fishing tackle is allowed so be sure to read up on that first if you aren’t sure!
- Chasing waterfalls and Cliff Jumping - Nyanga is has so many waterfalls that are just waiting for you to find! I personally like cliff jumping and there are some beautiful spots to jump! Just make sure you test out the water below first to make sure it’s deep enough and that the current isnt too strong!
- Birding - Nyanga has some incredible birds!
- Reading and relaxing - It really is peaceful and quiet in Nyanga, this makes it super easy to just kick back and chill! If it’s cold just sit by the fireplace and drink some hot chocolate!
- FOOD- I love my food, and although I self cater when I go, I always make sure to stop in at Froggy farm on the way to Nyanga for some good coffee and some pizza! Then when I’m in Nyanga I love going to the Nyamoro Dairy for some scones and milk tart, and on my way out I have to get fresh cream!
- Horse riding- Although I personally don’t ride horses Troutbeck does offer this!
- Kayaking and Canoeing- With all the rivers and dams there is so much opportunity to Kayak and canoe!
- Spending time with friends and family- Time well spent with family making memories is the most important!
If I’ve left any activities out please let me know down in the comments!
