For "A Place Of Our Own," Troy Mercy sets down his guitar flamethrower featured in his debut song "Traveling Light" and instead lays down some first-rate soul licks honed during his years spent touring with Booker T Jones. "It's those tales of ordinary madness that sneak up on us. You know, that daily pressure builds slowly," muses Mercy as he describes the feelings fueling this softly-orchestrated tune. "As your doctor, I'm prescribing listening to 'A Place Of Our Own' as needed and singing along to the Na-Na bits quite loudly indeed." Drummer & Producer Tim Carman of Parlor Greens and Marty Ballou on bass are the head-bobbing support behind Troy's soulful vocals and guitar riffs.
