The Pitt cast with Noah Wyle shared stories from the finale, fave Season 2 scenes, and Season 3 teasers at PaleyFest's final The Pitt presentation April 12 at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
Pitt fans saw an advance screening of the Pitt Season 2, ep 15 finale. Amazing to see it on the huge Dolby Theatre screen, with several cheers for fave character moments.
Then cast Noah Wyle (Dr Robby), Katherine LaNasa (Nurse Dana), Taylor Dearden (Dr. Mel King) and creator/EP R. Scott Gemmill, discussed the finale and other show details, moderated by @jowrotethis .
📝 Writing Characters Dialogue:
'These actors know their characters almost better than the writers now,' Wyle said, adding actors have provided input that's used in the show. For example, it was Dearden's idea for Mel to like RenFaire. And it was Patrick Ball's idea for Langdon to have a back tweak lifting a patient, foreshadowing a potential pain / medication relapse.
💄 Makeup and Visual Effects
Cast praised the Makeup and Visual Effects teams for incredibly detailed and realistic makeup for injuries. Most of it is practical effects - not CGI. Many patients have body doubles, so it's their heads sticking out of a table, with their body prop on the table.
For lead cast, less makeup is used as the day progresses, so actors' actual exhaustion shows through.
'They just stop putting on concealer!' said Taylor Dearden (Mel).
'Last year I had a black eye, so I was like a supermodel this year,' joked LaNasa (Dana), adding it's freeing as an actor not to worry about looking pretty-perfect.
❤️ Cast's Fave S2 scenes/storylines
Wyle: Rape kit
LaNasa: Mel and Langdon in finale
Dearden: Santos, can express emotion in just a raised eyebrow
👨🏻⚕️ Cast's TV Doctor they'd like to see join The Pitt (like Geoffrey Owens from Cosby Show in ep 13.)
Wyle: Alan Alda (MASH)
LaNasa: George Clooney (ER)
Dearden: Hugh Laurie (House)
Scott Gemmill: I already have the best cast
3️⃣ Season 3

Guillermo del Toro and Jerry Bruckheimer were among all 10 Oscar Best Picture producer teams who described what it took to get these films made at the Academy Museum's annual Best Picture Oscar Nominee Spotlight.
Bugonia
Producers had worked with Yorgos for years, so they knew to let him do his thing. Couldn't find Southern US house in UK, so built Jesse's house outside London. Outside and inside were practical to add realism.
F1
'It all starts with a great director,' said Jerry Bruckheimer. When strikes happened on the 6th day of filming, Brad and three main cast couldn't work. So shot 40% of the film they aren't in, and polished and tightened the script. Race scenes shot at real tracks during actual races in precise 3-5 min windows allowed by race officials.
Frankenstein
'Our duty is to do two things: deliver worlds and emotions,' said Guillermo del Toro. He added: 'Jacob Elordi is a miracle.' He had idea for Frankenstein movie when he was 11.
Ship and costumes were practical because 'I miss grandeur' in films.
Hamnet
'Chloe was our #1 choice,' producers said, wanted woman director to tell this story. Chloe created a safe space, open set, not hierarchical. 'It was like a family',
'There was a shared heartbeat.'
One Battle After Another
'He (Paul Thomas Anderson) lives his life through making films,' said producer Sara Murphy. Paul wrote it w Leo in mind. Once Chase cast, film was GO! Paul looks at marketing and PR to ensure film lands as he intended
Marty Supreme
'We're making a movie about... ping pong. We could be wrong,' said producer Eli Bush. 'I'm very happy to be here!' Timothee Chalamet did spoof marketing Zoom call to draw young auds. Some ball VFX were used.
Secret Agent
'I loved the the hairy leg 🦵🏽 'said producer Emilie Lesclaux. Recreating Recife in 70s was a challenge: cars to costumes are authentic
Character written for Wagner Moura.
Sentimental Value
Producers were so happy to make this film because knew their effort would make an emotional impact. The house was a character, took a long time to find it. 64 shooting days. 700 extras
Sinners
Work to find juke joint. Film came together.

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: Sorcery of Nymph Circe held its North American special screening May 13 at the AMC Grove. The screening featured several Gundam figure displays, press, creators and influencers.
In this second film: Hathaway Noa navigates the escalating conflict between the anti-Earth Federation group Mafty and the specialized Circe Unit. Filmmakers wheeled and walked onto the orange carpet at the 13th Easterseals Disability Film Challenge awards May 7 at Sony Pictures Studios. The Ticket, a comedy about gangs fighting for a lottery ticket, won two awards.
Filmmakers who registered had five days to create a <5 min short in March. All films must have someone with a disability in front of or behind the camera. 144 films were submitted from around the world. Judges selected winners in six categories, who each received $2K prize.
This year's theme Dramedy is important because people with disabilities are often victims in sad dramas. Comedy adds levity, agency, and expands audience.
“It was a magical night that once again put a spotlight on authentic storytelling and disability inclusion in Hollywood,” said Challenge founder comedian Nic Novicki.
Celebrity guests and presenters included: Director Peter Farrelly, directors Phil Lord & Chris Miller (Project Hail Mary, Spider-Verse films); Jason Ritter, Wilmer Valderrama, Tal Anderson (The Pitt); Jessy Yates (Pulse), director Siân Heder (CODA); and director-producer Kat Coiro.
Congrats 2026 winners (with *)

Brett Goldstein joked about dating, love and sex at one of his first standup comedy performances at his Netflix is a Joke Fest show on May 9 at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills.
Brett drew from his own single dating experiences for much of the approximately 90 minute show. He also talked about how people he encounters on the street are surprised by his British accent.
Toward the end, he answered more of a dozen write-in audience questions in rapid funny succession.
A few of his stories related to being noticed for being on the popular Ted Lasso series on Apple+. He won two Emmy's for best supporting actor comedy for his role playing a soccer player on the beloved show. He is also co-creator of Shrinking series on Apple TV+.
Overall, Brett's jokes were funny - but not hilarious. For a show that has Sex in the title, could have been more jokes about it. It seemed very 'polite.' Maybe it's just too British-polite to talk about sex in ways American audiences are used to from comedians. Brett has a good solo stand stage presence, and looks good in a white shirt. He's just starting his standup, so has time to work on material and add more humorous stories.
His show was held on opening weekend of the new D line stations including the Beverly Hills station, about a block from the Saban. Many attendees rode the D to see Brett talk about his.
Stamptown is a chaotic raunchy fever dream of comedians, aerialists, drag queens, juggler, and hula-hooper performing crazy acts with pyrotechnics and confetti canons. Stamptown performed three shows as part of Netflix is a Joke Festival May 8-9 at the Montalban in Hollywood.
Stamptown is a comedy variety show but not like your parents'. Stamptown founder Zach Zucker plays ringmaster host Jack Tucker. He introduces his comedy crew including singers, sexbot, beer crusher, vampire, newborn baby comedian, clutzy rollerblader, and many more nutty characters. Neil Patrick Harris even made a few voiceless cameos. If you sit in the first few rows, you may get picked to join the show for an interactive experience. It's wild unpredictable good-vibes fun.
Stamptown Origin Story: Stamptown was created by @zach_zucker in 2016. After graduating École Philippe Gaulier comedy school in France, he discovered his slapstick comedy was too wild for the traditional comedy circuit. So he created the Stamptown show as a home for similar performers who weren't getting booked. They started performing at small indie theaters around LA. Eventually they performed at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where they become a late-night must-see hit. A decade since founding, Zach is excited to perform three shows at Netflix is A Joke Fest 2025 at the Montalban. On stage, he said these shows and the upcoming Netflix special are his dream come true - audiences have embraced his wacky idea from a decade ago.
No videos of the show allowed, so here are videos of the pre-show and post show curtain call and crowd-surfing to give a taste of the vibes.
You can watch @Stamptown perform at venues around LA and will be going to @edfilmfest .
Netflix is a Joke Festival is LA's largest comedy event ever with more than 500+ comedians performing at 475+ shows at 45+ venues May 4-10 around LA.

Oscar winning actress YOUN YUH-JUNG described working on Beef Season 2 with writer director LEE SUNG JIN at the Netflix FYSEE conversation May 9 at the Netflix HQ in Hollywood.
She said she had to deliver long monologues about love and capitalism. And she had to memorize long speeches with sometimes night-before script revisions.
'We have a word for this in Korean: joke devil,' she said.
Like many actors, she doesn't like to watch herself on screen because film lasts forever, and she always finds something she could have done better.
She won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2000 for Minari. On Beef, she plays the wealthy owner of a luxury SoCal country club.
Watch her on Netflix Beef Season 2, all six episodes available on Netflix.
