Bryan Brinkman’s works lit up our City Lights preview at Outernet with playful works that merge 2D and 3D techniques. From June 2nd Bryan’s works will be in rotation at @outernetglobal in the Now Building . Download and check the app for run times. The medley of works included: Bloom (2024): an infinite series of unfurling, hand-animated flowers. Originally created for television displays in collaboration with LG Art Lab, this new version features a higher resolution and increased visual density, designed specifically for this room. “Blossom” (2023): a randomly generated system of vines and flowers, inspired by a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Initially released as a series of 300 uniquely generated videos, this iteration is a brand-new generative output built exclusively for display in this space. “Automatonomy” (2023) : a whimsical, gumball-machine-inspired animation that illustrates the journey of creative ideation. Each ball represents an idea, traveling through stages like writer’s block, discussions, split decisions, and ultimately merging into a new concept—only for the cycle to repeat again. “Battery Life” (2024) : a time-based piece that typically functions as a clock. Beginning at 9 a.m., the walking character—composed of energy-draining items—gradually shrinks each hour, like sand in an hourglass. After 12 hours, it becomes empty and slowly recharges, repeating the 24-hour cycle. @outernetglobal @brinkmanatee photography: @andrebaumecker

Thank you @digitalartweek @seditionart for inviting us last week to be part of the kickoff for @digitalartweek 2025. Our artwork “Latent Liquid” has been exhibited at @outernetglobal open to the public, attracting thousands of people. ‘Latent Liquid’ delves into the exploration of ocean sounds through sonic Machine Learning models, exploring what current AI-models ‘see’ when they ‘hear’. This series is manifested as 12 generative dynamic sculptures. The creative process involves collecting water sound recordings in the UK as the base. These recordings are inputs for an AI model, which interprets and transforms sound into 3D voxel shapes. The resulting abstract forms are then further translated via 3D software, creating a virtual choreography of shifting forms. Through ‘Latent Liquid’ we are intrigued by the machine’s process of listening, understanding, and transmuting information into 3D forms. The artwork culminates in 12 hybrid sculptural forms, serving as a poetic confrontation. It brings into focus what it takes, for both machines and humans, to interpret our surroundings through sonic and visual languages. #digitalart #generativeart #ai #cgi #3d #motionart #aiart #data #soundsculptures #mediaart #newmediaart #art #technology #artandtechnology #creativecoding #artficialintelligence #soundtoform #c4d #cinema4d #motionart
