We poured our savings, time, and heart into this project because we knew it mattered, and now that belief has brought home our first Emmy.

We're back. More behind the scenes on our documentary film on Douglass High School in Leesburg, Virginia. Today we're with one of our historical experts Professor José Anderson from the University Of Baltimore. We also braved some frigid temperatures to get a moment with Douglass alum Sterling Cook.
Digifé, a Chicago-based production company, recently earned its first Chicago/Midwest Emmy® Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Magazine Program – Single Program/Series category.
Their documentary-style series, “You Don’t Know CHI”, is fully produced by the Digifé team and created/hosted by Chicago historian Shermann “Dilla” Thomas. The show highlights the neighborhoods, people, and places that shaped the city’s cultural impact, with a special guest featured in each episode.
Season One is now airing on FOX 32 Chicago on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

A couple of weeks ago, our team at @digife stood on stage holding a Chicago/Midwest Emmy for You Don’t Know Chi, a series we produced with @6figga_dilla , Chicago’s historian and storyteller, who’s made it his mission to uncover the narratives hidden beneath this city’s surface.
A small crew, doing it our way, with our own people, and that made all the difference.
Wow!!! So I decided to put a show about Chicago on YouTube because I wanted to see more Chicago positivity. I partnered up with two brothers who owned a production company and we decided to bet on each other.
Last night that bet paid off because our show, You Don’t Know Chi, won an Emmy!!!!
