🪦Long live ‘THE GOAT CHILD’ and ‘THE MAD ONE’🪦 ‘THE GOAT CHILD’ and ‘THE MAD ONE’- When it comes to being a full embodiment of one’s art NEFTALI is the perfect example. Whether it’s his paintings/drawings, his music, or even the clothes he wears he has found a way to make each piece a part of himself. He has now undertaken a new creative venture in making music becoming ‘5FEETFROMHEAVEN’. Embodying different characters and tapping into other aspects of his being. With his eyes painted, wearing hand painted/custom elaborate outfits, rocking an ivy crown with grapes and horns he currently portrays a character he calls “THE MAD ONE”. An embodiment of “ecstasy, excess, beauty and life”. This character is accompanied by the image of a cartoon child with horns, who wears the same symbols on his clothes yet doesn’t have a crown. It’s “THE MAD ONE” in his childhood (“THE GOAT CHILD”). For NEFTALI, he explains “’THE GOAT CHILD’ is a representation of innocence and child hood, the most pure version of yourself that’s existed. ‘THE MAD ONE’ is still the same person, even if it may not feel like it (for this Neftali portrays the mad one in flesh and blood, but has strictly kept the goat child as a cartoon) but it’s when all the horrors and realities of life catch up to you, and mold you, and essentially make you a whole different person than who you were as a child. But the essence of that ‘inner child’ is still there and was never lost so now there’s this duality and spectrum of potential that exists within you.” This project was a pleasure.
