“Scream, Betray, Claw, Fidget, Protest, Wriggle”
The corner piece in response to Tommy’s words in Treading Water.
Here I’ve depicted a number of hands - each portraying a different emotion. I wanted hands to feature heavily throughout the exhibition. Hands are so expressive in themselves, they portray human emotion as much as the face does.
Hands are also an artist and writer’s form of expression - they use their hands as a vehicle to narrate, imagine, express. Which is exactly what myself and Tommy have done in this exhibition.
Treading Water is open day at @digbethartspace until 4th November.
Books are for sale for the duration of the exhibition.
