Our Computer Systems and Networks students recently visited Equinix Data Centre DB4 in Ballycoolin, Dublin as part of International Data Centre Day 💻🌍
On the day, students met:
👨💼 Bojan Mesaric – IBX Operations Supervisor
👨💼 Ken Power – Project Manager
👨💼 Robbie Hirtes – Security Manager
They were treated to an excellent presentation on the day-to-day running of a world-class data centre and the wide range of career opportunities available in the industry.
The highlight was an exciting behind-the-scenes tour, where students saw first-hand how the skills they are learning in class are applied in real-world environments 🔧📡
To top it off, students enjoyed pizza and had the chance to chat with industry professionals — including past CSN students Mark Nulty and Piotr Klejbuk, now working as full-time technicians in DB4 and DB3 👏
