My very first good intention of 2026 is to post more about pottery and what I actually make/do. About 5 years ago I started a 6 week ceramics course with Suus
@keramiek.atelier.amsterdam and never stopped. I grew to love it so much, found it so calming and it helped me get through the mental struggles I was facing at the time.
I promised myself to keep it as a hobby, but after a few years I got a request from
@cococenteno to make something custom (girl idk if you know but thank you, that actually started everything). After that got more requests, more orders, changed the way I sold my stuff and introduced drops. I named my brand Burn Ceramics, because of me mostly making things for burning incense/palo santo/sage, but without realising it resonated with the reason I started in the first place.
In 2024 I started giving workshops to others, focusing on clay to mediate mental wellbeing.
This year I decided to turn my studio into a full time atelier and decided to rename the brand. I’m so happy to be doing this, the name didn’t resonate anymore. Therefor I will be hosting all workshops and sourced ceramics at
@theclaycentreams and decided to drop all my own work on my personal account and under my own name. Something I have been so scared to do, because it’s something so close to me.
So here goes nothing, my first post of the year. On my birthday I decided to do a raku workshop. A Japanese glazing technique that takes a lot of physical work and the results are so unique. All photos by
