Some scenes don’t just live on screen… they stay with you. 💔🎬 When @diegotinoco prepared for one of the most emotional moments in On My Block, he didn’t just memorize lines… he studied real human grief. Here’s what actors can take from this: • 🎭 Reference real emotion, not just imagination: Study performances that feel real - not to copy them, but to understand what honesty looks like on screen. • 🧠 Understand the weight of the moment: Grief isn’t just sadness. It’s shock, confusion, anger, denial. Layer your emotions so it feels human, not one-note. • ❤️ Act with empathy, not ego: The goal isn’t to “look good”… it’s to honor people who’ve actually lived this. That’s what makes a performance hit. • 🎬 Remember why storytelling matters: Film and TV aren’t just entertainment - they expand perspective. Your job as an actor is to bring audiences into lives they’ve never lived. Takeaway: The most powerful performances don’t come from trying to impress… they come from trying to understand. 💭 If you can tap into empathy, you’re not just acting, you’re giving someone out there the feeling of being seen. ❤️ Comment AUDITION and we’ll send you our free cheat sheet to help you make choices that actually connect on screen. 📺📝 #actor #actingclass #actingschool #actingtips #actingadvice

Most actors think chemistry means you have to like your scene partner. 💭 That’s not true. ☝🏼 Some of the best on-screen relationships come from actors who don’t get along at all… but still know how to work together. 🎭 Here’s what actually matters: • 🎭 Chemistry is built, not felt: It’s about listening, responding, and committing to the moment - not your personal feelings about the other actor. • 🧠 Professionalism > personal preference: You won’t always choose your co-stars. The job is to make it real anyway. • 🤝 Trust creates better performances: Even in intense scenes, both actors need to feel safe enough to fully commit. • 🚫 You always have the right to say no: Good acting never requires you to cross your personal boundaries. The best sets respect that. Takeaway: Great actors know how to create connection and protect themselves at the same time. That balance is what allows you to go deeper in your work without losing yourself in it. 🎞️ Comment ACT if you’re ready to start building real on-screen chemistry 🎬 #actor #actingclass #actingschool #actingtips #actingadvice
