#JordanFirstman’s directorial debut #ClubKid is the first breakout hit of #Cannes 2026, earning critical acclaim and a six-minute standing ovation in which Firstman rejoiced, kissed co-star Diego Calva and lifted up onscreen son Reggie Absolom to thunderous applause. Firstman is largely known as a comedian and social personality who lives unapologetically — young, gay, ravenous for substances, sex and human connection. After Babylon, @diegocalva worried his success could have been a flash in the pan, rather than something enduring.  However, the roll-call of legendary directors and stories he’s stepped into in the three years since would appear to decisively prove him wrong.
