Something special is happening in Amsterdam. More and more people from different cultures, ages, identities, stories are searching for places where they can actually belong. Places that feel human again. Places where the body is not just a machine for work, but a home for truth, healing, and expression. House of AxĆ©nte became one of those places. I, @diego_omflow , see it every week people arriving tired, guarded, carrying their day in their shoulders… and leaving lighter, louder, more themselves. Not because we ā€˜train harder’ but because we REMEMEBER. We remember that dance was never just about steps. It was always about soul. About connection. About being seen without needing to perform, even in a city that constantly demands us to perform. At House of AxĆ©nte we built something that feels more like a family. A place where you can make mistakes and laugh about them, where you can move the way your body has been asking for years, where you can express whatever is present: the joy, the grief, the fire, the softness. A place where your rhythm is welcome, even if you’ve forgotten it exists. It’s raw. It’s imperfect. It’s real. It’s transforming. And this is what makes it powerful. In a moment where Amsterdam is becoming a magnet for new forms of community and embodied healing, I’m proud that our small tribe is part of this movement… this shift where people use dance not as entertainment, but as empowerment, as healing, as a way back to their own truth. We honor tradition, but we also break it open. We root in house dance, but we flow beyond labels. We move in studios, but also in streets, parks, kitchens, friendships. Because for us, dance is a living thing, a sacred force that travels with us wherever we go. House of AxĆ©nte (AxĆ©= sacred energy Agente= Us) Here your groove is the heartbeat, and the community is the soul. Book your class and join us! Every Monday Capoeira Fusion 18.15-19.30 House Dance 19.30-20.45 @chassedancestudios šŸ“ø @vintasproductions

I started teaching very early and after many years of doing it I’ve come to realize, that teaching for me is not so much about having control of ā€˜the script’, this is about being fully present, listening to them, and opening a space where many things can happen. Independently of the class, it’s an encounter. Most importantly when I teach my goal is to create a space where people can be seen and they can feel safe enough to express. Teaching is like an ā€˜invisible art’ where teacher and student are absorbing new ideas beyond expectation, something is planted every time ā€˜from that space in between us’. We give, we receive, we transform. If it’s well done the boundary between teacher and student disappears. Only the dance remains as a fertile ground where everyone grows. This is good teaching. Today I’m teaching again @chassedancestudios Capoeira Fusion 18.15-19.30 House Dance 19.30-20.45 Join our community @houseofaxente where groove is the heartbeat, and community is the soul. ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„šŸ¤© Photos by our community member and social media manager @akachan_no_suteppu šŸ˜Ž

REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN šŸ‡§šŸ‡· This June, I’m excited to host an immersive Brazilian Funk experience rooted in the living street cultures of Rio de Janeiro, with the dance artists @jessicassqueiroz and @andreoliveiradb On the 19th and 20th June, we will dive into Passinho, Rebolado, groove, musicality, cultural context, and the embodied intelligence carried through Afro-diasporic movement traditions in Brazil. What many people see only as entertainment also carries deeper layers of collective memory, creativity, resilience, and community connection. In many Brazilian Street Dance Cultures, the pelvis functions not only another movement but as communication, claiming honorship of one’s body and space. Alongside the workshops, we will host a special donation-based Film & Talk Evening to its our guests on 18 June (19:30–21:30), creating space to reflect on the social and cultural roots behind these dances and the communities that created them. This is more than a dance event. It is a cultural encounter. Registration is now officially open āš ļø Spaces are limited and we expect this edition to fill quickly. Comment ā€œFUNKā€ and we will send you a registration link. Powered by OM Flow & House of AxĆ©nte AxĆ©!šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„ Diego

Going to the gym for me is much more than training my body. A lot of people see discipline only as something physical, but for me movement has always been deeply mental. Sometimes we are not building muscles but patience. Other days we build consistency, self-respect, self-love, learning to stay present, then to continue even when your mind is tired. Because many times we are. I think the body always reflects the relationship we have with ourselves, the unconscious becoming conscious. The way we breathe and care for ourselves when nobody is watching. People have no idea, but you know. Love training as a way of organizing my mind, processing emotions, reconnecting to myself and learning how to listen better. The physical results motives , yes. But looking good is a result of feeling good, not the opposite. Poor us who would focus on just aesthetics. The physical part is just a consequence of an internal practice, do you agree? Every day is different opportunity to know thyself. #omflow #organicmovement #generalist #amsterdam

Lately I’ve been teaching outdoors and it has there’s something deeply human that happens when people move together under the sky in nature: playing, sweating, breathing, laughing, learning through the body instead of only intellect. I love to witness strangers connecting beyond expectation or social masks. In a world overloaded with stress, speed, screens and disconnection, these moments feel almost revolutionary. It’s good to remind movement is never just physical. The way we move affects the way we relate, communicate, feel, and exist. My work has never been only about teaching steps or exercises, but about facilitating experiences that reconnect people to presence, aliveness and each other. Seeing people weekly become more open and confident, reminds me how necessary embodied spaces are in the times we live in. Outdoor practices Tuesdays 18.15-19.30 at Erasmus park. Join us whenever you feel!šŸŒæāœØšŸŽ¶ @omflow_method šŸ‘ļø #amsterdam #outdoor #movementculture #omflow
