Alright, it took almost two months, but “You’ve Been Warned” has finally passed the 1K stream mark.
Thanks to all of you who streamed it multiple times, I’m glad you liked it. Listen, I saw the stats, and I know that algorithms had absolutely nothing to do with this. It was just all of you. Whether you listened to it a bunch, playlisted it, whatever. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, I am grateful.
Oh, I know I haven’t ponied up the lyrics for the last two songs of the EP, I’ll get those out tomorrow and Friday.
There’s this one line from Shaquille O’Neil’s “You Can’t Stop The Reign” that’s lived rent free in my head since I first heard it in 1996:
“No need for luggage, we can shop when we land.”
I know he meant he was going to go to a real store, but my imagination pictured him getting some t-shirts & flip-flops at the airport gift shop and calling it a day.
I paid homage to that verse in “Megabucks” as an attempt to evict it from my brain, and it has not worked.

3 Miles isn’t that harsh of a walk, but along the Boulder Strip towards downtown it’s pretty awful.
Vegas wasn’t built for pedestrians, and one is reminded of this whenever stepping out onto the sidewalk.
Also of note: this song has our second and third ever F-bombs. “Oh, you want a medal?” Yeah, kinda.
