That phone call you got for a booking? They probably searched three other places before picking up the phone. If you run a restaurant or a local shop, you might think most of your business comes from people walking past. And some of it does. But here's what's happening behind the scenes: your potential customers are researching. Comparing menus. Reading reviews. Checking if you're even open. By the time they call or walk through your door, they've already visited your competitors online two or three times. The question is whether you were part of that search. Your competitors are investing in showing up on Google. If you're not, you're invisible during the most important part of the decision. Footfall is great. But it's not a strategy.
