Spent the weekend in Brisbane with this lovely lady. Had the #lepetitechef experience at #hyattbrisbane. Basically Loony Tunes projected on your dinner plate. Buffet breakfast was better .. but alas .. ‘twas an experience. Beer on the Skydeck .. lunch at Harajuku Gyoza. #greatweekend.

After three full days of not doing much besides watching two movies a day, drinking beer and red wine and enjoying a pre-breakfast pastry each morning while Karen gets over her lurgy.. I’m going to miss this place dearly. But real life beckons ..

Yesterday .. my beautiful boy married the love of his life.. and I am completely over the moon. I’ve seen him go from a boy to a man, sometimes with no choice but to watch, powerless, as he took some of life’s hairpin bends way too fast and seemed able to make such an even mix of brilliant and terrible choices that it was hard to believe they came from the same brain. But everyone in James’ life would go through it all again in a heartbeat, knowing it would all lead to yesterday. James.. you make me proud of you every day, but I’ve never been more proud than yesterday. And Johanna .. thankyou for giving James what he needed to be the amazing, intelligent, dry, witty, laconic, loyal, empathetic man his family adores.

It's every musicians dream - to be called onstage to play with your favourite band in front of a packed stadium. On Saturday night, drummer and music teacher Tim McClelland's bucket-list moment became reality at Tye Killers’ concert in T’ville.

It's every musicians dream - to be called onstage to play with your favourite band in front of a packed stadium. On Saturday night, drummer and music teacher Tim McClelland's bucket-list moment became reality in Townsville when during a show by American band The Killers, he found himself seated behind the drums playing with his idols in front of 18,000 fans. On my show this week, he described how it all unfolded.
