Queues, the new album from Belgian artist Dida, is out now. It’s a patchworked play on the luxuries and traps of reference, faith in the afterlife of musical ideas, the stretched valences of pop, a dunce’s tale. Across the record, a love letter spins on a dime, breathless, breezy, and wide-eyed.

In The Cue is a performative sound installation in which an octet of
Pioneer CDJs functions as a collective instrument. Eight non-musician participants
trigger loops and hot cues, assembling evolving layers of rhythm, harmony, and texture.
