One of the best moments of 2025. Quarter-finals of Nationals. Down 12โ€“14, clawed it back to 14โ€“14. All the drama in between. Centimetres deciding the final touch. Pure, raw emotions. Grateful to @luciusloh for being in my corner, and everyone from @asgardfencing for sharing this moment together. ๐Ÿฅ‰ And to coaches @coachdavidchan and @kocsis_88 for the years of believing, even while watching me lose to kids half my age. 5th in national rankings heading into 2026. Padua & Budapest World Cups in March. Seoul Grand Prix in May. Huge mountains ahead, but closer than ever to completing this side quest I started 7 years ago. Letโ€™s go. ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿคบ

Totally forgot I did this interview with @ricemedia.co together with @eilegoh earlier this year until someone saw it published and sent it to me. Happy to be able to share my story and purpose within the often โ€œskepticalโ€ insurance industry, with the hope of changing perceptions about insurance agents, one person at a time. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป - Snippets here, full interview on @ricemedia.co !

2016-2025 Turning 30 this year made me reflect. Picked up a few life lessons along the way, lessons that shaped who I am today and continue to guide me as I navigate this journey called life. I hope the 20 year-old me would be proud of how I turned out.

I always believe that discipline will take you further than motivation ever will. Motivation comes and goes, but showing up anyway is what creates real progress. Do it tired. Do it unmotivated. Do it even when you donโ€™t feel like it. Consistency changed more for me than motivation ever did. Start showing up for yourself, even (especially) on the difficult days.

I lost 1-5 to the World Champion. And while I got thrashed (pretty sure he didnโ€™t even break a sweat), Iโ€™ll always remember that one point. Because that single touch represented hard work, repetitions, and all the unseen training behind it. When Tammy realised most of my competitors are full-time professional athletes, she asked me why I still keep trying. I donโ€™t really know, I guess I just donโ€™t quit.

FIE Sabre Grand Prix, Incheon ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿคบ Where an amateur like me gets the chance to step on the piste with the Cristiano Ronaldos of fencing. Grouped with Olympians and a World Champion, I needed 3 wins to advance and came close with 2. Didnโ€™t make the next round, but satisfied with the fight I put up and the experience gained competing at this level. We go again. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

I worked really hard to buy my dream car, and I thought it would make me happy. I was wrong. It felt amazing for a while. Then the feeling faded. Thatโ€™s when I realised, it was never about the car. It was about who I became chasing it. The late nights. The grind. The discipline. The habits I built, the standards I set, thatโ€™s the part that actually lasts. If your happiness comes from physical things, youโ€™ll always need the next upgrade just to feel the same again. Find joy in the journey, not the destination. - Donโ€™t get me wrong, the car is awesome. 100% would buy it again!
