Gutted by the tragic loss of the brilliant @cris_derksen . Cris was one of the most fiercely ambitious artists I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with over the years. She worked tirelessly to uplift everyone around her. I’ll forever be grateful to Cris for bringing me into her @esl.band family and for including me on her debut album The Cusp back in 2010. It’s been a thrill to watch her success around the globe over the last 16 years. Last time we hung out was after a lovely “homecoming” show with the @vsorchestra in 2021. I was so proud to once again share a stage after many years apart. You were always the coolest, Cris! Sending love to all of those whose lives were touched by Cris. 💔
Winter recap! With the very welcome arrival of spring, I’m looking back at this past winter. This season (and largely my 40th year) has been about holding my family close. We have been extraordinarily privileged to have the time and space to experience so much together this year. Juju (and his cousins) are so lucky to have such warm, generous, and fun grandparents on both sides. At the same time, I’ve been able to take care of my health, lean in to fatherhood, and explore new creative paths. Looking forward to the spring and summer ahead!
Three nights seeking solitude on Salt Spring. Four ferries, minus one dog, and we lost count of the deer. Cozy and ready for the wet and the winter ahead. ☺️
What better way to ring in Caro’s 40th Birthday than with a Fung Family Fiesta in Tofino?! Beaches, babes, and bikes galore. Maybe a little birdwatching too, comes with the territory (and age).
When your toddler absolutely smashes their first ever triathlon you gotta make a little vid to commemorate the cuteness. We had the best Father’s Day weekend working on our three disciplines and ironing out those tricky transitions. Jules knocked it out of the park and his mom and dad couldn’t be more proud! ☺️ thanks to the Exceleration Tri Club, @sirbacks@jillwong001 Coach Christine and everyone who made it such a magical weekend. We’ll be back again next near to take on the “big pool”! 🙌
Feeling grateful to have finally experienced the iconic mountain destinations of Banff and Lake Louise. Who better to share the adventure with than @carofung Betty & Jules! We packed as much as possible into our trip, and even took a little time to relax along the way. Caro dusted off her ski legs after 25 years and Jules learned how lucky he is to be a 🇨🇦 kid!

We celebrated the holiday season this year with our nearest and dearest in Toronto. Aside from a dusting ❄️ the night of our arrival, the winter weather held off and we were treated to a relatively mild Ontario Christmas. Music, food, and family abound!
