I recently wrote a short blog titled “The Art of Being Mediocre and the Ripples It Leaves Behind” (Link in bio) It is one that means a great deal to me as it was inspired by two people I deeply admire and by the reminder that the stories we tell ourselves, as well as the opportunities we give one another, can create ripples far beyond what we ever imagine.
The blog also connects to a project very close to my heart: @iamjalayne ’s performance of @jjaxson_music ’s cello concerto “Anchored” as part of a co-commission project. The @allentownsymphony recently gave the East Coast debut under the direction of @dianewittry and I am thrilled that @seattlecollaborativeorchestra will perform this extraordinary work this November.
