Today I realized something weird.
Iām in paradiseā¦ and I miss home.
Not because Iām not grateful to be here. I am. Iād do this trip again in a heartbeat.
But I think sometimes we turn ourselves into one version of who we are. The funny one. The strong one. The productive one. The adventurous one.
And being away reminded me that Iām actually a lot of different people all at once.
I miss my routines. My comedy. My people. My space. The parts of me that donāt exist on vacation.
Maybe being a full person means letting yourself want both.
Adventure and home.
Escape and routine.
Freedom and grounding.
Anywayā¦ human beings are complicated.

Iām on vacation with friends and their husbands right now, which technically makes me the 7th wheelā¦ but honestly, it just feels like seven friends having a great time.
And it made me realize something.
Before my divorce, I donāt think I fully appreciated my friendships. Not because I didnāt love my friends, but because I never realized how deeply friendships could carry you through life.
Now I lean on my friends. I ask for help. I let them show up for me. And somewhere along the way, those friendships became one of the most important parts of my life.
So tell your friends you love them.
Ask for help when you need it.
And donāt underestimate how life-changing good friendships can be.#

This one was really just for me.
