Opening my drawers again,
Some of me early sketches for the amazing video game Unleaving by @orangutanmatter studio, what a great tough and rich experience.
Music by Alicia Ensteom.
I made these for more than 5 years after leaving Paris running away from its romance, I recently found them while cleaning my drawers, so I thought let's finish. ❤️🔥
Live painting at médiathèque Rhône crussol @mediathequesrhonecrussol with Leslie Morrier’s amazing electronic @lesliemorrier music during the festival bulles dessinées.
I painted this portrait of Fadwa Sulaymane in 45 minutes. Fadwa was a Syrian actress who became an important symbol of the Syrian revolution. During the event, Leslie worked with one of Fadwa’s poetry readings (performed by someone else since we couldn’t find a higher quality recording of Fadwa’s own voice).
This was a live painting event at médiathèque Rhône crussol featuring live electronic music by Leslie Morrier (not the background music you hear now). The theme focused on Fadwa Sulaymane, a Syrian actress and a hero, who is an important symbol of the Syrian revolution, now she left us fighting cancer. Leslie worked with one of Fadwa’s poetry readings, though it was performed by someone else since we couldn’t find a higher quality recording of Fadwa’s own voice.
I painted this piece in 45 minutes. I encountered some challenges - the painting was intended to be vertical, but the board was horizontal. Additionally, the board wasn’t primed, so it absorbed all the paint from the brushes. However, I improvised 🤭
The full experience will be coming soon with a video that includes Leslie’s actual music from the collaboration.

Art can hold what words cannot. For @dialabrisly , that truth began in Damascus - and followed her through revolution, displacement, and exile to the pages of Adnan.
Diala is a Syrian artist whose work spans animation, illustration, murals, and comics. Her creative path started at Spacetoon and carried her across mediums and continents, always returning to the same question: what does it mean to carry home inside you?
In Adnan, illustrated by Diala and published by Frances Lincoln Children's Books, that question lives on every page. It is the kind of book that makes space for the child who has had to leave, and for everyone who needs to understand what leaving means.
At Creshendo, we believe communities grow when migrants lead. Diala's work — in refugee camps, in schools, in the quiet power of a picture book — is exactly that kind of leadership.
We are proud to be part of bringing this story to the world.
