All My ❤️ 4 U, the second release on @dial.up.connection is out this Valentine’s Day. To celebrate, two of Toronto’s most handsome DJs (as voted by their peers) will be behind the decks at @littlejerryto this Friday night from 10pm-late. Love and heartbreak tunes on the menu for Valentine’s eve, plus the last chance to grip a copy of the record before the official release. Hope to see you there. ❤️

Esmeralda was embedded in Aruba’s vibrant music scene from an early age, first as a teenage dancer, then as a singer with latin band Los Bravos. She was soon a fixture of the local circuit, singing in hotels, bars, and carnival parades, before setting off on a solo career. Recorded in the late 80s and early 90s with a cadre of friends and collaborators both at home and in New York City, her debut album, All My Love 4 U, pulled together her wide-ranging influences into a sun-soaked, genre-blurring statement. The album was a success, even landing a couple hits at NYC pop station Z100, but ultimately the momentum was short-lived. After being stiffed by her record label and with a child on the way, Esmeralda retired from music in 1998. Though she reemerged in 2010 with her own radio show on Aruba’s 98.8 Cool FM, and later returned to the stage in 2014, her debut CD faded quietly into obscurity. Now three decades after its release, listening to “All My Love 4 U” feels like opening a time capsule that perfectly captures the optimistic, globalized essence of the early 90s with impressive versatility. Sultry balearic jams, uptempo dancefloor house, soca, breakbeat-forward new jack, and hip-hop all find a groove here, colliding with a boundlessly joyful and cheeky energy. We’re very proud to share this record with you all - a limited edition 7” featuring two of the records hottest hits (Extasy and Friends), plus it comes with a digital download for the whole album! Out Valentine’s Day 💕 Swipe for previews! 👉

The second release from Dial Up Connection is finally here! This super “balearic” gem from Aruba - never released on vinyl - gets its well deserved day in the sun with this special Valentine’s day reissue. On the A side: a sweet sister sledge cover. On the flip: a sexy downtempo burner that we think is one of the best discoveries in a long time. Pre order now via Bandcamp or Rush Hour (@rhd_rushhourdistribution ). More previews coming soon, follow to stay in the loop!

Lost In Space by New York City based Warren Doris flew under the radar upon its initial release in 1981. Despite radio play in the Northeastern US, the tune never completely broke out and instead became a closely guarded secret among soul music aficionados. More than four decades after its release, the emotional power of Warren’s vocal performance and the lush, swelling arrangement have cemented the record’s well deserved status as a holy grail for collectors. Meticulously remixed and remastered from the original 16-track tapes by Warren himself, this new edition of Lost In Space does justice to the original with three all new cuts; The familiar extended mix and new radio edit pair with an instrumental version and a heavy dub of “Let It Show,” the flip side on the original pressing. The record is available for pre-order in the EU via @rhd_rushhourdistribution and is up on bandcamp for NA. Full release May 24th. ✌️

Last weekend I visited Warren in his old hood (Manhattan’s upper west side) to celebrate the announcement of our first release! Here’s the man himself with the original Lost In Space / Let It Show 7”. We’re beyond thrilled to reissue this sought after gem on 12” with three all new mixes. Stay tuned for previews and more info soon! Cheers!
