A practice made perfect 🎨 Every morning, artist Beth Hickman climbs the back staircase to her art studio overlooking the 3-acre grounds of her rambling Bluffview ranch. There, she becomes engrossed in her work—of mixing palettes, of painting, of meticulously layering intricate metallic embellishments and textural details on large-format canvases—until retiring in the late afternoon for a swim. It is a dedicated routine—one she has followed for nearly a half-century—for anyone, but astonishing for 91-year-old Hickman, who has been diligently building a prolific art career.
