Mental health support should be accessible to everyone. 💙
Karen Kennedy shares an important reminder: 98% of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind individuals do not have proper access to mental health services because of communication barriers. That is not okay.
The good news is that the 988 Crisis Hotline now offers ASL services, making it easier for members of the Deaf community, Hard of Hearing community, and DeafBlind community to connect with life-saving mental health support when they need it most.
If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, emotional distress, or substance abuse, please reach out. You are not alone, and help is available.
