Anshuman, my love, when we became friends again last February after years of painful distance and heartbreaking misunderstandings, I never expected us to end up here... right where we were in high school. You were my favorite person then, my ride-or-die best friend, the guy I'd geek out with about Pokémon and share my whole heart with. You were silly, goofy, deep, understanding, adorable, thoughtful, beautiful.
Today, you're still all of those things... and you're also the man I'm proud to say I get to spend the rest of my life with.
Fate is a funny thing. So much had to happen for us to get here. We had to get our hearts broken by other people so we would know what it means to truly love and be loved the right way. We had to fall apart and grow as individuals so we would know how to find our way back and never let each other go again.
And of course, you had to finally grow a beard, because the very first time I saw you again that February 2025 night, I thought I was a goner, and guess what? I was right.
