And here's a little more about our artists
@dfirmin ,
@josh.fortenbery , and
@theforestthatneversleeps !
Gwich’in Athabaskan Daniel Firmin was born and raised in interior Alaska but now shares music with Anchorage. Daniel is a string-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. After years of touring with FBX-based punk band the Scurvies and punk-folk Feeding Frenzy, Daniel's solo repertoire is a mix or rock and roll, soft harmonies, all the feels, and wide-mouthed screamo that would make every member of Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem feel proud!
Josh Fortenbery is a self-absorbed but rarely self-serious songwriter based in Juneau, Alaska. He sings sad songs but smiles a lot and usually means it. Likes: dogs, blood harmonies, happy hour. Dislikes: earnestness, gore, the internet. His gravel-voiced vocals, well-written poetry, and rippin' guitar chops move him between genres with ease, creating an inviting combination of country, folk, and bluegrass.
As a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, and poet, The Forest That Never Sleeps transports her audience with infectious enthusiasm and raw
emotion. From rhapsodic piano lines to gentle finger-picked strings, her dynamic performances leave her
audiences feeling connected to the human experience.
