At the tail end of last year, I was invited to Carrara, Italy, to visit the legendary marble quarries and select stone for two public sculptures. The history of this marble—the legacy of the artists who have worked with it throughout time, whom I now follow—is truly humbling. I’m excited to kick off the new year with the unveiling of this new public sculpture at @district13artfair . Join me to see it up close before it’s permanently installed in Paris!

We’ve been as busy as Santas Elves minus their cigarette breaks… Anyways, we made these collage, painted and printed one off paper pieces for @stolenspacegallery and on display this Saturday in their front space from 11am. ‘Burn Your Shadow Away’ Livorno, Italy. This mural pays tribute to the great Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, author of Frankenstein, who lived in and around Livorno and Tuscany, Italy, with her partner Percy in the 1820s. I highly recommend reading about Mary Shelley (and Percy). Their life story is the kind of thing that would make an unbelievable eight-part Netflix series. As much as her life was marked by tragedy, Mary truly broke the mould for women of her era. This mural honours her and her creation Frankenstein, a work that paved the way for what we now call science fiction. This mural was only made possible thanks to the incredible Ilaria @muralivorno , who has been nothing short of an exceptional host, her partner Victor (heal fast, brother!), and the support of the Fipili Horror Film Festival, @fipilihorrorfestival the City of Livorno, the Livorno cultural department, my crew of sky pirates Max & Boots and everyone else who helped make this a reality. Livorno is an undiscovered city - a rare find in Europe: rough around the edges, but honest, real & beautiful.
