🎉 Dexter Reunion: Original Cast Reunites at Scaradise 2025!
‼️ The event featured Jennifer Carpenter (Debra Morgan), Julie Benz (Rita Bennett), Erik King (James Doakes), David Zayas (Angel Batista), and Desmond Harrington (Joey Quinn) most of them reuniting for the first time in years. While longtime favorite James Remar (Harry Morgan) was originally scheduled to appear, he unfortunately had to cancel his attendance. Still, the five stars in attendance made sure fans left with unforgettable memories.
🔥 On Saturday, the Dexter cast came together for a special panel discussion, answering fan questions and sharing behind-the-scenes stories. Beyond the panel, attendees were able to enjoy meet-and-greet sessions, autograph signings, and photo ops—the perfect mix for fans who’ve kept Dexter close to their hearts since 2006.

❤️🔥 The cast of Dexter: Resurrection took a short break from filming Season 2 to attend a special Paramount+ FYC (“For Your Consideration”) event in New York City on May 14.
🎬 After spending part of the day shooting scenes for the upcoming season, Michael C. Hall and Jack Alcott joined showrunner Clyde Phillips and executive producer/writer Scott Reynolds at the evening event. They were also reunited with familiar Season 1 faces including David Zayas, Krysten Ritter, and Eric Stonestreet.
🤩 The event was part of Paramount+’s Emmy campaign push for the series, as FYC events are designed to keep shows fresh in the minds of awards voters ahead of Emmy nominations.
⚡ Held at Crosby Street Hotel, the venue was fully transformed with Dexter: Resurrection branding, including the same blue-themed visual style used throughout Season 1’s marketing campaign and a large red series logo displayed prominently throughout the space.
✨ Guests at the event were treated to a screening of Episode 104, “Call Me Red,” which has become one of the most acclaimed episodes of the season.
👀 Following the screening, the cast and creative team participated in a live Q&A panel before heading to an after-party, where Emmy voters and attendees had the chance to mingle directly with the stars and creators behind Dexter: Resurrection.

✨ In a thrilling update for the upcoming season, it has been confirmed that Joey Quinn is returning as a series regular!
🎬 As filming continues for a second consecutive week in New York City, we finally have our first major casting update of the year about an original character for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, and it’s one that especially longtime fans have been waiting for.
👏 Harrington has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming second season. This is a significant change, as it means Quinn will actually play a much larger role across the 10-episode season, becoming a core part of the main cast rather than appearing sporadically.
🔥 While the report didn’t reveal additional details about how Quinn will be added into the new storyline, his return comes at a crucial moment following the shocking events of the Season 1 finale. Batista remained determined to bring down Dexter Morgan, convinced that he is the true Bay Harbor Butcher, something that led to his death.
🙏 What remains unknown is where Quinn’s storyline will take place. In Season 1, his scenes were set in Miami for filmed in New York City, but now, there’s a real possibility that Quinn could travel there in search of answers, especially after the loss of a close friend and colleague. This of course could actually bring him face-to-face with new characters while continuing to his quest for the truth.
⚡ In the first season of Dexter: Resurrection, Harrington appeared in two episodes, Episode 3 and Episode 8. His final appearance included a key phone call with Detective Claudette Wallace, hinting at deeper involvement and also setting up what now confirmed to be a much bigger arc in Season 2.
‼️ Either way, this is exciting news. Now having Lieutentant Joey Quinn a series regular in the sequel series, we can expect a more prominent and meaningful role for the character, and it’ll be interesting to see how his story evolves, and whether years-long fan theories about Quinn's knowledge will be confirmed.
