Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at the Dew Drop Inn 💛
We’re proud to be the kind of place shaped by the amazing moms who work here and the ones who walk through our doors every day.
From the kitchen to behind the bar, and at every table filled with family and friendships—you inspire us. You’ve taught us what it means to work hard, show up for others, and take pride in the little things that help write our story.
So today, we raise a glass to you.
Thank you for being part of what makes the Dew… the Dew.

Is it just me or would a strawberry bourbon maple sour make this week so much better!

Sweet wing people and hot wing people don't always see eye to eye.
But they always end up at next to each other at the bar having great conversation!

Are these the craziest wings in Connecticut? 👀🍗
Tried a few of the MANY @dewdropinnct ’s flavors … and the peanut butter and jelly wings (served with fluff) were the standout! Unique and delicious!
We also got the blue cheesy bacon wings (good, but missing the bacon) and classic hot wings, which were solid if you’re keeping it traditional.
The Parmesan Butter Bacon Garlic Burger was good overall, but I was thinking it would be more of a sauce, than a spread. 🤷🏻♀️
The vibe here is super laid-back, and with so many crazy wing flavors on the menu, I’ll definitely be back to try more (ESPECIALLY THE DESSERT WINGS🍫)!

WINGIN’ IT 🍗
Part 2 of our Connecticut Wing Tour brought us to four more iconic spots including:
1️⃣ @archiemoores in New Haven, CT. We ordered the famous Buffalo Style Chicken Wings and the Raspberry Bourbon Wings.
2️⃣ @dewdropinnct in Derby, CT. We ordered the Medium Buffalo Wings and the Peanut Butter & Jelly Wings.
3️⃣ @porkys_cafe in Shelton, CT. We ordered the Buffalo Wings and the Buffalo Garlic Parm Wings.
4️⃣ @milfordbonfiregrill in Milford, CT. We ordered the BFG (brined, fried & grilled) Buffalo Wings and Maple Bourbon Bacon Wings.
Our favorite spot? @dewdropinnct was the overall winner of this day with @porkys_cafe close behind! But we honestly love them all! 😋
Which one of these spots is your favorite and where should we go next? 🍗 #isabellesplate

Pouring Guinness is an art, perfected since 1759 when Arthur Guinness started brewing at St. James’s Gate, Dublin. It’s more than a 2-part pour; it’s achieving a velvet black body topped with a creamy head in a tulip-shaped glass. Worldwide, over 10 million glasses are enjoyed daily, not just for drinking but for cooking with Guinness’s unique recipes.
Pouring perfection at the Dew Drop Inn involves four steps: 1. The Glass & Angle: Use a clean, 20-ounce, tulip-shaped glass, tilted at 45 degrees to avoid froth. 2. The Pour: Pull the tap towards you to fill until the Guinness’s dark and creamy layers vividly separate. Wait for it to settle. 3. Top Off: With the glass level, push the tap away for a slower pour until the head slightly overflows, then let it settle again. 4. Enjoy: Admire its ruby-red color, sip the foam, then the beer, and savor.
Don’t rush; the perfect pour, like at the Guinness Storehouse, is worth the wait. Remember, don’t touch the glass until it’s handed to you — patience is key to enjoying Guinness the right way.
