Hosted on select Fridays throughout the year, Glow Night invites friends and families for a night full of movies, music, and glowing fun. Last week, employees across our firm came together to celebrate National Volunteer Week and Earth Day through a variety of meaningful volunteering activities. From coast to coast, our people showed up in their communities as environmental stewards, STEM activists, and civic champions, dedicating their time to causes and communities that matter. Teams organized and participated in park, garden, and lake cleanups aimed at protecting and preserving our natural environment. Others built STEAM activity kits for local schools, volunteered in classrooms, and supported community centers to inspire the next generation through engaging, hands-on learning. Employees partnered with organizations such as @ronaldmcdonaldhouse , @americanredcross , and @dressforsuccess to support community members in need. In total, our employees spent over 775 hours volunteering in their communities. In celebration of #EarthDay, take a look at a few project highlights below, putting this idea into practice: • New Jersey Department of Transportation’s Brigantine Channel Spur Dredging and Habitat Enhancement: Through the removal and replacement of 22,000 cubic yards of dredged material, we supported the creation of the optimal habitat for a New Jersey endangered seabird. • @cfxway Authority’s State Road 516 Lake/Orange County Expressway: We project managed the new 4.4-mile corridor which includes design of a wildlife tunnel, Florida native landscaping, planned solar installations to power lighting or tolling equipment, and a section with an in-pavement wireless electric vehicle (EV) charging pilot. • Henrico County’s Resilience Plan: Our plan implements a multi-hazard resilience strategy and creates a framework for the ongoing implementation of initiatives, like a property acquisition program for at-risk structures or retrofitting county infrastructure to better withstand future hazard events. • Revel’s John F. Kennedy Airport Cell Phone Lot West EV Chargers: With 24 new EV fast chargers, this @theportauthority_ny_nj site has delivered over 4.4 million kilowatt-hours of energy to date, saving an estimated 3,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide when compared to using combustion vehicles. • @navfacworldwide ’s Twentynine Palms Wastewater Treatment Plant: As part of the A&R Pacific-Garney Federal joint-venture team, we are serving as lead designer for the new wastewater treatment plant, which will produce two million gallons of California Code of Regulations Title 22-compliant disinfected tertiary recycled water per day. The Oklahoma State University (OSU) Medical Center community celebrated the ribbon cutting for a newly renovated, state-of-the-art cesarean delivery suite in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our firm partnered closely with OSU Medical Center to transform their existing space into a fully functional C-section suite that meets both clinical and code requirements. With the goal of keeping the suite on the same floor as labor and delivery, our team developed an innovative solution that included strategic structural modifications and efficient space planning. By thinking beyond conventional layouts and collaborating closely with stakeholders and consultants, we delivered a safe, compliant, and patient-centered environment with the latest technologies.
