That’s it folks, the last DEW show ever in the books. What a ride it’s been. To writing grunge music in the basement as a 3 piece with a way different lineup and configuration to what it has turned into today, there have been so many ups along the way. We won’t even say downs, because you guys are what made it so damn awesome. An album, and EP, too many shows to count, 2024-25 DEW has blossomed into something more than we could have ever imagined. Thank you all so much for your continued support, whether it just be coming to a show, recording us, taking photos, introducing us to people, or even just being a homie, thank you. 4 teenagers + Eli (we love you Eli), have had the best teenage years possible thanks to our local KW scene. Special shoutout to
@theunionkw and
@thegoldenapplekw for being great local venues. From
@the_satellite_collective helping us with our very first real show in Guelph and
@hespelerpunk throwing us on Saturdays for the scene just a week later at the yeti, it just took off from there. There are so many things we could all say, but you’d be here reading forever. Thank you to
@eli.m.77 for being the best homie and fill in / live member possible, you are a goddamn superhero. One last thing to leave out there. START A BAND!!! We have been told so many times this last week about how we are very important to the youth scene (from youth, and adults) and how we have inspired a lot of people our age and younger. That warms all of our hearts so so much. So please, start a band, play shows, get out there, meet people. Cover all ages dammit. Message any of us and let us help you, get connections, meet people, even for pointers. This is what we do. We will help you, and we will back you. DEW is for the youth.
Thank you all, and goodnight.
