This weekend was full of checklists, game nights, and a beautiful family of three as we dove into Sasha’s story for Before Us! ✅🎲 The wonderful @marissajoyfiction navigated the ups and downs of Sasha’s story very delicately, while @smh_key and @kidsofthepaynes —our Ty and Amira respectively—gave beautiful performances as her two children. We’re so excited for you all to fall in love with their sweet family like we have. 💙 🌷Big thanks to our wonderful crew: @panda_dickson , @lifeasjoshk , @clairejieunie , @laurennelizaa , @joshuagrapher , @devsw1 , @phillipwallaceaudio , @iamhaydengullion , @gabriellaharris , and @stillwiley . 🌺🇬🇺 This weekend was full of laughter, hope, tears, and bonding as we filmed Izzy’s story for Before Us! Izzy’s story is a reflection of director/writer Meredith Palomo’s own fertility journey with her wife, Cindy. We couldn’t have found a more talented and intuitive team to tell this story and touch all of our hearts. 🩵 🌻 A very special thanks to @panda_dickson , @bman0002 , @stillwiley , @joshuagrapher , @phillipwallaceaudio , @2far_2far , @devsw1 , @iamhaydengullion , @clairejieunie , @lifeasjoshk , and @laurennelizaa for all of their incredible work this weekend to bring this first chapter of the film together! MLR ENTRY 005: “FRIENDSGIVING” FT. @itsjustbnny [Live on the missinglabelrecords YouTube channel] Thanksgiving ritually graces us on a Thursday, coinciding with our usual “PATCH FROM SCRATCH” night, inevitably prompting the postponement of our weekly broadcast. Undeterred, my team redirected our focus towards planning for a ‘Friendsgiving Live Set’ the night prior, marking the commencement of the giving season. In Atlanta, GA, at an undisclosed location, we began transmitting frequencies live to the world. Within two minutes, the live feed unexpectedly went dead, yet I remained locked in. Despite losing connection with the broader online audience, my improvised modular set, a nod to our weekly hang, continued, hosted by a collective of friends and family present to witness the sonic transmissions. The show went on, and we kept the cameras rolling to capture and share some of the vibrant moments from Thanksgiving’s Eve. Such a wonderful #friendsgiving this past weekend with so many friends! We are so grateful for these friendships and the people we have chosen to be more than just friends, but also our family. When you don’t live close to family, it can be hard to find a reliable group of people that are there for you in all facets of life.
