This past weekend I had the privilege of celebrating Dia de Los Muertos in Oaxaca Centro, one of my absolute favorite places in the world, and it was beyond MAGICAL ✨

On this day 5 years ago I became a new woman. Saige came into my life and rest was history. I couldn’t even have dreamt up what my life would be like as her mom. She’s my spicy maple. My heart. My teacher.
It’s been so much fun growing + glowing together.
And - the side splitting, belly laughs we have together, are my absolute favorite.

In order to ascend you must shed your old skin. You must wrap up the past and send it off with love. Gratitude for all that had to happen, good or bad, to get you where you’re at.
P and I were never really pressed about getting married, non-traditionalists who were just focused on enjoying life as it was and never worrying too much about the future. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Then we had kids and it catapulted us into a different space and a whole new mind set. It became clear that we were never going back to who we once were or the life that we were living so securing our family union (officially) was important for this next chapter. Getting married was a reset for us and yesterday we celebrated a year of Devon and Pierre 2.0, which is the flyest and sexiest update thus far.
Happy Anniversary Husband! Thank you for your love, your patience, your honesty, your talents that nourish us and your commitment to being the best version of yourself so we can come together and be great!

I don’t take this Mommy job lightly…mostly because I’ve been so fortunate to be raised by really exceptional women that paved the way for me to be the kind of mother I am able to be for Saige and soon baby #2. You gotta pay it forward. It is by farrrr THE hardest job and we should get paid for contributing fabulous humans to society BUT it is worth every single sacrifice I’ve had to make physically, mentally, etc. I wouldn’t trade it for anything and I’m just so grateFUL.
