we know we're quite late announcing this one, it's just that making the poster been quite a ping pong between @janomax , @dyohlo & I, trying to make it as inner-jokey and personal as possible. we wanted to honour hosting the tree mavericks of @devonrexi in proper alien fashion: maybe we kind of failed it, maybe we didn't, but one thing for sure, we did enjoy making it. somehow in that same alien spirit, their music lands just as sideways: playful but rugged, noisy in a very precise way, with Noosh’s vocals that land in our ears and feel either haunting or oddly catchy, drifting over rhythms that sound as if they're pulled from every corner of the globe, then pushed, warped and made-heavy through the mixing desk by our favourite one from LDN >> John T. Gast @5_gate_temple . we couldn't think of anyone else to top this cake of a lineup other than @bearboneslaylow , whose last performance at B. A. 2 years ago felt like a direct Zoom call with our ancestors, channeling a different kind of ritual: shit that feel like the kind of spell we never get tired of. we’ll all be making noise together in the basement this week, so maybe you’ll catch something from me & daya, or @nushinnaini & @lotoretina , or?? everyone altogether?? we’re not entirely sure yet. we’re keeping it loose, no pressure on anyone, just seeing what comes through. come as you are, and bring some cash for drinks, merch and soup (+la vache qui rit?). <3 ~~~ don't forget to stay mindful&respectful<3 towards everyone + the space + the neighbourhood >> music will be powered by NYNY INARI x PSSOUND SYSTEM DM for location ~ 10 euros cash at the door, let us know if you're broke 7PM til midnite

A mysterious figure was spotted in the shop today holding a copy of Breathstep? The debut collaborative LP on Accidental Meetings between the elusive 5 Gate Temple devotee John T. Gast and troublemaking Amsterdam trio Devon Rexi, made up of Nicolini, Nushin Naini and Goya van der Heyden! Dub-soaked no wave shot through with krautfunk, bass weighing low and heavy throughout, processed vocals and enough melodic chaos to keep you on your toes. Not one to snooze on...
