I’m adding the finishing touches to this piece. I’ve been taking advantage of painting, which isn’t as permanent as tattooing. I like my tattoos neat, but I prefer my paintings to be free and expressive. I’m thinking of making prints since I don’t plan on selling these anytime soon
Honestly, I wasn’t feeling this one at first, but now it’s one of my favorite pieces. Inspired by my youth, where everything started and where most of the story still lives.
For years, I’ve been intentional about building a style of tattooing that translates well across all skin types. When I started, there weren’t many role models I could look to, so I committed myself to mastering the fundamentals and creating an aesthetic that even people outside of tattoo culture could appreciate.
My focus has always been on originality. Every design is meant to reflect the story of the person wearing it, not just exist as an image.
Now, I’m starting to see the impact of that work. I come across people with tattoos that clearly stem from my style, sometimes even near replicas done by other artists. And honestly, I take that as an honor. I’ve always aimed to be your favorite artist’s favorite artist, and I’m still chasing that.
Because of that, I’ve been very intentional about who I choose to work with. When it comes to sponsors and tattoo brands, it has to align with the bigger picture. My goal is to help create space for the artists I respect and admire, and give them a platform to showcase their work.
That’s why I’m excited to announce my partnership with @tattme.app
