Iāve had a wild month of health related issues that has made me feel a) very annoyed and b) very grateful that Iām now on the other side of it.
When I couldnāt walk, I kept thinking how we say āyou donāt appreciate what you have until you donāt have itā and it got me thinking well why the hell not??
Why donāt we spend more time in appreciation and gratitude for what we have? Like Iām so grateful I can post this message. Iām so grateful I have water to drink.
These little things go by us but we donāt really pay attention to them until we donāt have them. Thatās what Iāve realized with my body. I donāt appreciate it enough when it is healthy.
So thatās changing now. And when I appreciate my body when it is healthy, whatās going to change? Who knows? But I guess there will be more intention of giving it things it needs like exercise, more sleep, less sugar (help), and more water. More time flowing and dancing and less time sitting behind a screen.
So letās do that together, friend ā¤ļø
Our future bodies will thank us.
I know how it feels to be knocked off course during these never ending unprecedented times!!! Times may never be precedented again, but I know what it takes to get back on track. Follow along as I continue navigating ā¤ļø
Preparing for the Year of the Fire Horse isnāt only physical.
Itās digital too.
Open tabs hold attention.
Old drafts hold energy.
Files, notes, and messages tied to past versions of you keep pulling you backward.
Iām clearing inboxes, closing loops, and deleting whatās complete.
Fire Horse energy moves fast.
Your digital space sets the pace for how you meet it.
Before the momentum builds, clear the signal.
What are you ready to close out?
Cleaning your physical space is one of the simplest ways to prepare for the Year of the Fire Horse.
Fire Horse energy brings speed, visibility, and momentum.
It moves quickly and asks for clarity.
Your environment sets the tone for how that energy meets you.
Clutter holds attention.
Unfinished projects hold energy.
Objects connected to past versions of you keep you oriented backward.
As I clean, Iām paying attention to what feels complete.
What feels heavy.
What no longer belongs with where Iām going.
Clearing space is an act of intention.
It signals readiness.
It creates openness for what wants to move through next.
Before the fire arrives, clear the ground.
Your space reflects your capacity to receive whatās coming.
What are you feeling ready to release right now?
Over the weekend a friend asked me how my daily posting in February was going.
And my first thought was shame because I havenāt posted in three days.
Cue the inner critic trying to make that mean something about who I am.
I started reading a book about habits and one line really stuck with me:
Missing one day happens. Life happens. Itās okay.
But when two days pass, thatās when you pause and ask if this habit actually matters to you.
And the answer for me was yes.
So Iām getting back on track.
This is a practice. Like everything in life.
Here we go again.
In case there were absolutely any fucking questions about where I stand. Let me leave you with this: your hatred and your silence will be remembered. Your ability to turn a blind eye is being noticed. Your inability to see truth, love, compassion, and inclusion will be your downfall. Get the fuck up now (yesterday).
