And the first ever Bawden Award goes to … Chris Bawden! (I mean, it’s kind of in the name.)
As our stalwart Senior Designer, Chris is no stranger to rolling with the punches and adapting to changing situations on the fly. And he does it all with a positive attitude that shows true dedication and love for the work. That’s why he’s our first recipient of the Bawden Award and, perhaps more importantly, why the award is named after him.
The Bawden Award recognizes a Devise employee who exemplifies one or more of our brand attributes: Curious, Adaptable, Spirited, and Candid. Every six months, whomever holds the award will choose the next recipient.
Congrats, Chris, and well deserved! During this season of giving thanks, we’re thankful to have you on our team — keep up the great work!

We first worked with Travis years ago on the Every Man Jack account and know that he will make an excellent addition to our leadership team. Earlier this year, we worked with Sigma’s international partners to revamp the brand’s look and feel, introduce an all-new website, and create marketing materials for 12 — yes, 12 — new products that were launching simultaneously. Here’s what Devise Project Manager Kelly Fly said about the effort:

We recently launched a new campaign for our longtime client SIGMA (@sigmaphoto ). ‘It Just Clicks’ is a simple testament to the depth and breadth of SIGMA’s lenses and its commitment to supporting many popular camera brands and systems — seven different lens mounts in total. So whatever you shoot, you can trust a compatible SIGMA lens will just work. The campaign is running now across digital, print, and point-of-purchase channels. Another Town Hall is in the books! These biannual retreats are a great opportunity to step away from our desks, stretch our legs, and refresh our minds. The highlights included a railbike adventure along the Hood River with @mounthoodrailroad and a tour of Alpine Sea Co. (@alpineseaco ), a local bag brand designing and manufacturing all of its products right here in Hood River. But more importantly, Town Hall was, as it always is, a welcome opportunity to break free from Zoom, Slack, and email and reconnect in the real world.
