Truth be told, making this edit kinda saved my life. November/December outside of my time with my partner was honestly the hardest stretch of life I’ve experienced as an adult. Much like Chloe’s character in Kids, I was lonely, tired, scared, exhausted, and left with nothing else but a will to do something about it. I come out very blessed, but left with some scary truths. At this very moment, I’m tied to a lifestyle that doesn’t allow me to 100% create anything. I care take, I work, I pay bills, I sleep. In that tightly knit routine, I for the first time saw myself lose passion to create literally anything. Writing down ideas, knowing I have zero time to execute. Its sobering and sad, but making this made me feel something. I never want to stop making art, but im in a position where I need to stop for a little while. My car got repossessed, I’m behind on a ticket, I’ve gotta get some debt under control, and plenty more just to get back to 0. So im writing this all out really excited about repairing and continuing to make art and live life as I once did not too long ago, but being a man and fixing some stuff has to come first. Hope everyone is doing well, and feeling seen, you’re doing incredible. Ill be ok, just back to the drawing board. 💚
