Houston roll race event recap, all the Devious bikes moved real good against competition. Had to make some on the spot adjustments but overall bikes were moving real good. #devioustuning 😎
Recently I had the idea to test different tuning concepts with E85, during my testing I reduced my Dragy 60-130 by 0.8s consistently. However, upon testing with @izzy_2f (whose bike is comparable with mine) I realized all of the changes I had made had actually hurt my real world performance. Basically, dragy numbers aren’t everything and real world performance will always outshine numbers on a screen.
Tune 1: the tune with the dragy improvement
Tune 2: the “slow” tune that performed worse according to the dragy.

So far I have learned a lot with tuning on E85, excited to keep learning more. While it is similar to pump gas in some tuning aspects it’s vastly different in other aspects.
I’ve been able to get good power out of pump E racing bikes that on paper should beat mine. At the end of the day it’s just a hobby 🫡
