TOUCHDOWN or IMPEDING? You decide.
We took a tough 7–6 loss this weekend at @nflflag and honestly, this one is hard to accept.
The same call " impeding " was made twice on crucial plays that the HEAD OFFICIAL & partner ruled as touchdowns. One lady made same call. Both times after touchdowns. That’s the difference in this game.
We respect the competition, and no disrespect to the team we played they competed. But as coaches, players, and a program that’s built to compete at a high level, consistency and fairness from officiating matters.
What makes it more frustrating is the pattern. When we get this specific ref, it feels personal and that should never be part of the game. Due to 3 months ago saying "Thats my favorite player, I will call it every time" Officials are there to manage the game, not influence it. As coaches we should not influence a call for any ref.
Our girls work too hard for outcomes like this. They deserved better this weekend.
At the end of the day, we’ll keep working, keep improving, and keep showing why we’re one of the top teams around. But conversations like this need to be had so the game stays fair for everyone.
