A year ago I got to photograph these cats. I’m not a great editor, so I’ve been slowly chipping away at them ever since, trying to do them justice.
I think this is about as good as they’re gonna get.

If you’ve talked to me for longer than 15 minutes over the last 5 years, you’ve heard me talk about how badly I wanted to capture these photos. I’ve been around the country trying to make it happen, and now I can finally say I’ve been face to face with one of these cats. Honest to god, one of the hardest things I’ve done in my life.
